A commercial debuting Wayne “Namaste” the Alien, the leading mascot for “Namaste. That’s What I Say”—an anti-road rage campaign. The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness amongst the driving populace of Las Vegas on the impact of road rage. This ad specifically is an introduction to the main idea of the campaign, which encourages mindfulness and relaxation when driving to prevent road rage incidents.

The Oblivious Candle – Animation (1920 x 10800px, 25 frames/ second, Video, October 2023)

This is a motion graphic animation of a candle character who remains oblivious to his impending demise until it is far too late. As he melts, his facial features also melt à la the villains in the movie “Raiders: of the Lost Ark.” Additionally, camera techniques like the Dutch angle and dramatic zooms are utilized to further exaggerate the pain of this character melting.
The Dangers of Eating in Italy – Animation (1920 x 10800px, 25 frames/ second, Video, November 2023)

Using the comedy bit performed by comedian John Pinette, I created an animated video to match Pinette’s energetic delivery of his experience eating in Italy. I incorporated a mixture of animated typography and motion graphic images, because at times the visuals that came to mind were funnier than simply animating words. Camera techniques and creating the illusion of dimensionality from otherwise flat images were implemented in this project.
DPC 550 Time Traveling Phone – Commercial (1440 x 1080px, 59.94 frames/second, Video, December 2023)

Similar to my love for old cars, I also have a passion for old technology. I decided to take an old analog phone I had in my collection and market it as a time travel device. The user can use the number pad to input their desired date of time travel. Move aside, DeLorean! This was also recorded via a camcorder and Hi-8 cassette tapes prior to converting to digital. Music by Vodovoz Music Productions: “Escape from Tomorrow.”
Mizarlancer – Animatic (1920 x 10800px, 25 frames/ second, Video, August 2023)

This is one of my more experimental pieces. Cassette futurism is an aesthetic along the lines of Steampunk, Cyberpunk, Atomicpunk, etc. wherein a dominant technologic feature defines the genre. Cassette futurism is defined by the “what if” scenario of “what if analog technology was never replaced by digital technology?” I decided to create an animatic featuring songs by Jordy Leenaerts of the group Timecop1983. When I first heard his music, it immediately made me think of a fictional world where analog technology rules. In the vast expanse of space, an adventure awaits. This is the concept I documented in this quick animatic.
